If you reside in the US look into HIPAA (the federal Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act) and PHI (protected heath information). There may be an angle you can look into here. US healthcare institutions take this stuff super seriously. If they have some sort of lapse they can be fined or lose credentials.
If those Bastards came into the hospital and coerced or threatened your mom, in her patient room, to explain her PHI, you may have a real case on your hands.
If they did the same thing at your mom's house, I would at least contact someone associated with HIPAA and start asking some questions.

So where do all the billions go? It sure would be interesting to hear from the top accountant.
Who has access to the bank accounts?
What is the Orgs net profit per year?
Are they really spending all their money on property?
Etc.

What are the possible end results from the RC?
by Bob Loblaw insorry if this has already been discussed, but,...besides, of course, a black eye on the org, what can come of this royal commission hearing legally or criminally?
according to the rc's website:.
"the royal commission holds formal public hearings to hear evidence about child sexual abuse within institutions.

Sorry if this has already been discussed, but,...besides, of course, a black eye on the Org, what can come of this Royal Commission hearing legally or criminally?
According to the RC's website:
"The Royal Commission holds formal public hearings to hear evidence about child sexual abuse within institutions. The hearings do not focus on individual cases, but instead focus on case studies of how institutions have responded to allegations and proven instances of child sexual abuse."
"It’s important to remember that the Royal Commission is not a court of law and cannot make decisions about criminal matters. Rather, the Commissioners will deliver recommendations based on what they discover during a public hearing."
In the end, what possible scenarios could play out? The RC recommends suing/fining the WT Org? Jail time? Could this begin Inquiries in other countries? -

Sam Herd’s comment on the 2001 Dateline expose
by Londo111 inim going by memory, so not an exact quote...i believe this was around 2002, at the crownsville assembly hall (now sold from what i understand)..
he said basically: some people watch an hour show and give up the faith that theyve had for decades..
the impact of this show was like a canon being shot into a swimming pool.

I wonder how many witnesses who watched it were hung up on the word "church" which is outside their brand of good mind control trigger words (or at least it was over 20 years ago when I was in). The Dateline narrator kept saying the word "church" or "the church" to describe what JW's know as "the truth". In the JW mind the words "church" and "truth" are like oil and water.
In the average JW controlled mind, the word "church" = doomed christendom or satanic, its one of the bad mind control trigger words.
In their minds, perhaps some viewers were thinking, "well they got us all wrong, their calling us a church (evil)", meanwhile missing the entire main point of the presentation.
The mind control is so strong, that's why it is so hard to wake up and leave. Once a person is awake, the whole thing is soooo obvious. Its sick really.
...and so entirely sad, as a dad with little girls, it saddens me and sickens me to think of the little ones, to this very day, that may be trapped and abused in that sick organization.

Did the society official track each member of the 144,000?
by Bob Loblaw inwhen i left witness land in the early 90's, i remember hearing that out of 144,000 anointed members that there were only 8 to 9 thousand left and then the end will come.. i'm suddenly curious.
the jw organization is one that puts emphasis on tracking, i.e., regular meeting attendance, current standing, field service hours, territory tracking, return visits, etc.
therefore, did the society ever try to track each and every member of the 144,000?

Interesting stuff.
What an embarrassment and what a bunch of bulls*@t.
In the end it sounds like they had their literal 144000. Which means, with more coming forward now proclaiming to be of the anointed, their literal number now has turned into a symbolic number.
In 1992, the "anointed left" number was supposedly at 8,000 in and around my cong. Was that the same number others heard as well across the country or even internationally? Do you think that number was sort of created by and casually handed down from the men in charge or was it more of a manifestation of the some elders or the rank and file? A sort of urban legend that spread through congs like wild fire?
After 1992 did talk of that number continue? Did the get smaller or did everyone at some point just stop talking about it?

From a certain point forward then it becomes 144,000 and 1, 144,000 and 2,...etc.

Mormon temple interior design/architecture vs JW interior design/architecture
by Bob Loblaw ini checked this out:.
http://www.indystar.com/picture-gallery/news/2015/07/13/a-look-inside-the-mormon-churchs-indianapolis-temple/30095355/.
...and have to say, i was very impressed.

I checked this out:
...and have to say, I was very impressed. Don't get me wrong, I understand that Mormons are a brainwashing cult just as destructive as JW's, but on a purely aesthetic level, this temple anyways, is quite beautiful imo. I have never been able to say that about JW interior design/architecture.
All the JW Kingdom Halls that I have ever been to are so extremely white bread inside and out. I imagine that the reason for their extreme plainness is two fold. Why spend money on beauty and quality when Armageddon is right around the corner?...And, why spend money on the rank and file when we can fill our own coffers?
Wake up JW members! Your religion is boring, uninteresting, and extremely plain. Plain can be beautiful, but, in your case, plain is ugly.
I drive by the JW street cart witnesses and you people just stand there. 99% of your time you aren't talking to anyone and people pass you like their invisible. Boring! Your halls are boring, your doctrine is boring, and your new light is boring.
Dear Governing Body, I cringe at the extreme plainness you have created. Spice things up a bit for your members. Come off your billions and build a beautiful/interesting building, create beautiful interior design, hang beautiful/interesting artwork, do something, anything, interesting. Do it for those poor souls who will never leave.
